Hello, and welcome to the Itch page for Astral Horizon! This is a space FPS game I've been working on for a couple years now, and will probably be working on for quite a while longer. At the moment, I don't have anything playable ready to publish, but I'm working on it when I can! I do have a day job that is not this game, so I can only work on it during free time. I hope to have a playable demo with two levels in the sort-of-near-future. Some general information about the game, and my plan for it:

Gameplay: Astral Horizon is a story-focused sci-fi FPS with six-degrees-of-freedom movement. There are two modes of gameplay: on foot and piloting a strike fighter. When on foot, you're equipped with a jetpack that enables omni-directional movement, and magnetic boots that will let you walk on metallic surfaces. I hope to have between 10 and 20 levels, each of which should last around 10-30 minutes.

Setting: Astral Horizon takes place in the 28th century, after major technological leaps have enabled humanity to traverse space faster than the speed of light and colonize distant star systems. The Union of Extrasolar Colonies, or UEC, keeps peace between the corporate colonial governments. Outside the reach of the UEC, small colonies in the Frontier struggle to remain independent. Alongside these colonies, an unusually habitable planet known as TRAPPIST-1C serves as home to a society of convicts, who are free to do anything except leave.

Story: A decade after the mysterious disappearance of a Union vessel, the story will follow the journeys of a UEC naval pilot and a former resident of TRAPPIST-1C as they are guided by the head of the clandestine Eclyptic corporation towards the best-kept secret in human history.
